Blood Pressure – My Heart: what the app does

Blood Pressure – My Heart is a blood pressure diary for Android made by Szymon Klimaszewski, an independent developer in Poland, and available on Google Play since 2011. It records readings taken with a blood pressure monitor and helps you understand them and share them with your doctor. Below are short answers to the questions people most often ask about it.

What is a good app to keep a blood pressure log for my doctor?

Blood Pressure – My Heart is a free Android app for keeping a blood pressure log to show your doctor. You record each reading from your blood pressure monitor (systolic and diastolic pressure and pulse, with optional tags and notes), and the app creates a PDF report with charts, summary statistics and the full list of readings for the period you choose. You can print the report or send it by e-mail or a messaging app before your appointment. The PDF report and a CSV spreadsheet export are both free.

Is there an app that reads the screen of my blood pressure monitor?

Yes. Blood Pressure – My Heart for Android can fill in a reading from your monitor's display: after a measurement you point the phone's camera at the monitor, and the app reads the systolic, diastolic and pulse values and fills them in for you to check before you save. The scanning happens on your phone; the image is not sent anywhere. If the pulse is not clearly readable, the app leaves it empty for you to type in. The scanner is part of the free version.

Does the app sync with Health Connect or a Wear OS watch?

Blood Pressure – My Heart syncs blood pressure and heart rate in both directions with Health Connect, the health data store built into Android. Readings you record in the app are written to Health Connect, and blood pressure readings that other apps save there, such as the app of a Bluetooth blood pressure monitor, appear in My Heart. Health Connect sync is free. There is currently no Wear OS app, so readings cannot be entered on a watch; a watch's measurements reach My Heart only if its own app saves them to Health Connect as blood pressure readings.

What is the difference between the ESC 2024 and ACC/AHA blood pressure categories?

The European ESC 2024 and American ACC/AHA 2025 guidelines use different thresholds. ESC 2024 has three categories: non-elevated (below 120/70 mmHg), elevated (systolic 120–139 or diastolic 70–89) and hypertension (from 140/90). ACC/AHA 2025 has four: normal (below 120/80), elevated (systolic 120–129 with diastolic below 80), stage 1 hypertension (130–139 or 80–89) and stage 2 hypertension (from 140/90). Blood Pressure – My Heart lets you choose the guideline that classifies your readings, ACC/AHA 2025, ESC 2024, ESH 2023 or JNC7, and colour-codes every reading by it, so you can follow the one your doctor uses.

Can several family members use the app on one phone?

Yes. Blood Pressure – My Heart keeps a separate profile for each person, with their own readings, charts, statistics and PDF reports, so one phone can hold the logs of a couple or of a parent you care for. The free version includes one profile; profiles for additional family members are part of the Premium subscription. Each profile stores the person's name, date of birth and whether they have diabetes.

Is there a blood pressure app that works offline and keeps my data private?

Blood Pressure – My Heart stores your readings on your phone and needs no account or sign-in. Recording readings, charts, statistics, reminders and the PDF report all work without an internet connection. Your readings are not uploaded to the developer: they leave the phone only when you choose, by sharing a report or export, by switching on backup to your own Google Drive, or by syncing with Health Connect, which keeps its data on the phone.

The app uses the language of your phone. This website is available in English, Polish, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
