Works offline, and your readings stay on your phone
Is there a blood pressure app that works offline and keeps my data private?
Blood Pressure – My Heart stores your readings on your phone and needs no account or sign-in. Recording readings, charts, statistics, reminders and the PDF report all work without an internet connection. Your readings are not uploaded to the developer: they leave the phone only when you choose, by sharing a report or export, by switching on backup to your own Google Drive, or by syncing with Health Connect, which keeps its data on the phone.
What needs an internet connection
The free version shows ads, which need a connection. Backup to Google Drive also needs one, and so does the weather information the app can add to a reading: with your permission it uses your approximate location to record the temperature and atmospheric pressure. Everything else works offline.
Changing phones
With Google Drive backup switched on, you restore your readings on the new phone from your own Drive. Readings can also be exported and imported as a CSV file.
